About this dog

A primitive line. Independent disposition. Two-coat seasonal shed.

The Shiba Inu is bred at the atelier from a closed line descended from the Japanese national breed. Independent by design, the Shiba does not seek constant household attention; we recommend the dog for purchasers who value composure over compliance.

Coat shedding follows a seasonal cycle: twice yearly the household should expect coat fall of significant volume. The Mame size is a stabilised smaller variant of the line and is not recommended for households with children under ten.

The first year

What the house provides, and what is asked of the household.

    White-glove handover

    Climate-controlled courier. Charm Set boxed separately. Signed by purchaser only.

  2. Week 0 · On receipt

    Care Covenant signature

    The Care Covenant and Care Manual are included in the delivery. Completion requires the purchaser's signature, returned to Client Services. Subsequent household care is the household's responsibility under the Covenant.

  3. Month 4 & Month 10 · Client obligations

    Seasonal coat blow

    Twice-yearly major shed. The house provides a brushing schedule; the household provides the surfaces. Recall training is not guaranteed by the line.

  4. Ongoing

    Concierge assigned

    An assigned Concierge holds the dog's record. Available through Client Services during published office hours. Re-housing under §6, where applicable, is conducted through the Concierge.
